THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO November 22, 2019 - 13:30 (LSN)  Police Media Release States:  A Grey Cup Championship ring stolen from former CFL defensive lineman Stephen Anderson in 2013 has been located and returned.

The ring was stolen, along with a number of other items, from the victim’s vehicle in Thunder Bay on Aug. 22, 2013. The Thunder Bay Police Service began an investigation of Theft Over $5,000.

SIOUX LOOKOUT, ONTARIO  November 18, 2019  (LSN)  The Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) extend sincere congratulations to OPP Constable Jean DUGUAY and Wapekeka community members Clifford BEARDY and Dwayne BROWN, who received Commissioner's Commendations after saving a life.  

On May 24, 2019, P/C DUGUAY took extraordinary measures to gain entry to a residence in the First Nations community of Wapekeka, and attended to the lone occupant who was found not breathing. His efforts were made possible by the assistance provided by Band Councilor Clifford BEARDY and neighbor Dwayne BROWN. Their quick action and dogged perseverance resulted in a life being saved.

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO November 16, 2019 - 14:30 (LSN)  Police Media Release States:  Police arrested eight people, including six from the GTA, after executing a warrant at a north-side apartment Friday.

Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Intelligence and Emergency Task Units, along with members of the OPP, arrived in the 200 block of Lincoln Street just before 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15.

Officers were dispatched to a disturbance call just before 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14. Police are now investigating.

Paramedics with Superior North EMS and Firefighters with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue were also dispatched to the scene. First responders attempted to resuscitate a male victim.

SAULT STE. MARIE, ONTARIO  November 21, 2019  (LSN) Members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are actively looking for 28 year old Caleb Seaton and 32 year old Tyler McMillan in connection with a kidnapping and assault with a weapon, involving a firearm. 

On November 8, 2019 the victim entered their residence in the 100 block of Huron Street around 2:00 a.m. At that time they were confronted by three individuals with firearms. The victim was taken by gunpoint from their residence, and driven to an undisclosed area.
