DRYDEN, ONTARIO  ~~~ July 16, 2020  (LSN)  On July 2nd, 2020 at approximately 8:00 p.m. officers from the Ontario Provincial Police Community Street Crime Unit, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, and Northwest Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at a residence in Machin Township.

FORT FRANCES, ONTARIO  ~~~   July 15, 2020  (LSN)   On July 12, 2020, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Fort Frances Detachment responded to two separate occurrences where two Fort Frances residents had ingested a yellow coloured drug. Both people became unconscious as a result of the drug ingested and a Fort Frances resident died.

TBFR responds to Garage and RV fire on Alberta St

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO ~~~  July 15, 2020 (LSN)  At 16:41 this afternoon Thunder Bay Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to a report of a garage fire in the area of Alberta St. First arriving fire crews encountered a large volume of fire and smoke at the rear of a residence at that location. A small garage, an RV trailer and a large portable tarp shelter were completely engulfed in flames by the time fire fighters were on scene.  Fire fighters worked to deploy attack lines from multiple pieces of apparatus to attempt to quickly knock the flames down to protect the adjacent residence and a neighboring home.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch were dispatched just after 1:46 a.m. on Sunday, July 12 to the 400 block of Frederica Street West following reports of an assault that had just occurred.

Fort Hope Youth to be charged on Wednesday

FORT HOPE, ONTARIO ~~~~~  July 13, 2020  (LSN)   Inside Edition has learned that a 15 year old Fort Hope youth A.M. will be formally charged on Wednesday, July 15,2020 in the violent attack that occurred in Fort Hope on July 8, 2020.

The youth A.M. was arrested on Saturday July 11,2020 by the hardworking Nishnawbe Aski Police Officers on the Fort Hope 64 Indian Reserve.
