PORTAL, NORTH DAKOTA  ~~~~~~~  May 25, 2021  (LSN)  U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations officers at the Portal Port of Entry seized $645,245 in Canadian currency Thursday.

CBP Officers Seize Over $6 Million of Marijuana

Portal Port of Entry targeted a commercial shipment

PORTAL, NORTH DAKOTA  ~~~~~~  May 25, 2021  (LSN)  U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations officers at the Portal Port of Entry targeted a commercial shipment that had arrived in Portal on Thursday.  CBP officers inspected the shipment manifested as plastic containers to discover 3,765 pounds of marijuana within the shipment.

Provincial Crown Attorney Heather Bracken and Defence Attorney Justin Blanco are also present with a joint submission for His Honour to consider.

TBFR rescues lost hiker after exhaustive search

Nor Wester Mountain Range near Coppin rd

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~~~~~  May 23, 2021  (LSN) On May 22 at approximately 7:30 pm, Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue were requested to assist police in a search for a lost hiker in the Nor Wester Mountain Range near Coppin rd.

The hiker’s cell phone had lost power after she initially called her boyfriend, thus no contact was able to be made with her by police or fire personnel after her phone lost power. Fire fighters used maps and previous knowledge of the trail system to organize a systematic search of the area.

A 20 year old CHERISH OOMBASH was arrested after an aluminum boat was stolen and damaged.
