DRUG DEALER ON BAIL BUSTED BY TBPS WITH DRUGS AGAIN

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO  ~~~  October 12, 2021 (LSNews)  Hardworking Thunder Bay Police Officers arrested a woman on a $100 no deposit bail yesterday, Monday October 11,2021.

A 28 year old KATRINA MITAS was also found with cocaine & fentanyl in her possession. TBPS Officers learned that she was no longer allowed at the home on the 100 block of Martha Street that she was supposed to be residing at.

TBPS MEDIA RELATIONS COORDINATOR SCOTT PARADIS FAILS TO TELL PUBLIC AGAIN

MITAS was criminally charged with:

  • -breach of release order (drugs)
  • -possession of cocaine
  • -possession of fentanyl

MITAS was held overnight at Balmoral Police Station and appeared by phone in Bail Court this his morning, Tuesday October 12,2021 before Her Worship, Justice of the Peace Denette Ellard.

MITAS was remanded into custody at the Thunder Bay Correctional Center and has another court appearance tomorrow where she will most likely be released again.

TBPS Media Relations Coordinator Scott Paradis isn’t telling the public again, despite the fact that he receives a salary paid for by taxpayers.

Murders Thunder Bay vs other Ontario Cities

Thunder Bay maintained its title as the murder capital of Canada in 2018,  For the third consecutive year - and the fourth time in the last five years

 It has been announced again that Thunder Bay is the Murder Capital of Canada for 2018 in Canada for CMAs with populations between 100,000 to less than 500,000 people

Thunder Bay had the highest rate in that category with 6.38 homicides per 100,000.

It’s made Thunder Bay the highest per capita opioid death rate in Ontario.

The 44 deaths were a 40 per cent increase from 2017, a year in which Thunder Bay also held the highest provincial rate.

Between July 2017 and June 2018, nearly 3,900 naloxone kits were handed out by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and local pharmacies,
